Iran ;also known as Persia, officially the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a country in western Asia. It is bordered to the northwest by Armenia, the de facto independent Nagorno-karabakh-republic, and Azerbaijan; with Kazakhstan and Russia across the Caspian sea; to the northeast by Turkmenistan; to the east by Afghanistan and Pakistan; to the south by the Persian gulf and the Gulf of Oman; and to the west by Turkey and Iraq. Comprising a land area of 1,648,195 km2 (636,372 sq mi), it is the second-largest nation in the Middle East and the 18th-largest in the world; with 78.4 million inhabitants, Iran is the world's 17th most populous nation. It is the only country that has both a Caspian Sea and an Indian Ocean coastline. Iran has long been of geostrategic importance because of its central location in Eurasia and Western Asia, and its proximity to the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran is home to one of the world's oldest civilizations, beginning with the formation of the Proto-Elamite and Elamite kingdom in 3200–2800 BC. The Iranian Medes unified the area into the first of many empires in 625 BC, after which it became the dominant cultural and political power in the region. Iran reached the pinnacle of its power during the Achaemenid Empire founded by Cyrus the great in 550 BC, which at its greatest extent comprised major portions of the ancient world, stretching from parts of the Balkans (Thrace,Paeonia and Masedonia) in the west, to the Indus valley in the east, making it the largest empire the world had yet seen. The empire collapsed in 330 BC following the conquests of Alexander the great. The Parthian empire emerged from the ashes and was succeeded by the Sasanian dynasty (Neo-Persian Empire) in 224 AD, under which Iran again became one of the leading powers in the world, along with the Roman-Byzantine empire, for a period of more than four centuries.
Rashidun Muslims invaded persia in 633 AD, and conquered it by 651 AD, largely replacing Manichaeism and Zoroastrianism. Iran thereafter played a vital role in the subsequent Islamic golden age, producing many influential scientists, scholars, artists, and thinkers. The emergence in 1501 of the Safavie dynsty, which promoted Twelver Shi’a Islam as the official religion, marked one of the most important turning points in Iranian and Muslim history starting in 1736 under Nader shah, Iran reached its greatest territorial extent since the Sassanid Empire, briefly possessing what was arguably the most powerful empire in the world. In the course of the 19th century, Iran irrevocably lost swaths of its territories in the Caucasus region which made part of the concept of Iran for three centuries, to neighboring Imperial Russia. The Persian constitutional revolution of 1906 established the nation's first parliament, which operated within a constitutional monarchy. Following a coup d’etat instigated by the U.K. and the U.S. in 1953, Iran gradually became very close allies with the U.S. and the rest of the west, remained secular, but grew increasingly autocratic. Growing dissent against foreign influence and political repression culminated in the 1979 revolution, which led to the establishment of an Islamic republic on 1 April 1979.
Tehran is the capital and largest city, serving as the cultural, commercial, and industrial center of the nation. Iran is a major regional and middle power, exerting considerable influence in international energy security and the world economy through its large reserves of fossil fuels, which include the largest natural gas supply in the world and the fourth-largest proven oil reserves .It hosts Asia's 4th-largest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Iran is a founding member of the UN, ECO, NAM, OIC and OPEC. Its unique political system, based on the1979 constitution, combines elements of a parliamentary democracy with a religious theocracy governed by the country's clergy, wherein the supreme leader wields significant influence. Some of American thinks that Iranian are annoyed by Hijab or something like that but of course it is not like this at all.
Hijab is related on every one’s beliefs.
I, myself were Hijab, because I believe it and I love it.
Because, I don’t want to be a material.
I love Hijab because it let me do everything I want in a safe way, by no hunter look.
Iranian wear what they want and live like other people in the world.
They are human and they love their life.
Branden is an American photograph/blogger who came to Iran in December.
He published human life stories by pics in a page by the name “humans of the New York”
He said: against America’s government warning about trip to Iran and taking pics of there, I travel to Iran.
A beautiful country with reach history, hospitable people and they like American guys.
They smiled at us. (Iranian smiled at every one!!!!!) And ……. (if you wants read more you can visit “humans of new York” page )
I just attach pics you can read stories in “humans of new York” page

Bahman 22nd (February 11st) is the day that Iran got independent of foreign countries that steal Iran’s resources.
Near 40 years before, Iranian guys got together and made Independent Iran and run republic Islamic government.
Every year Iranian people attend to big demonstrations to defense of their independence and their rights, like nuclear rights.
Iranian every year shows their love to Iran and they show that, they will be allied to have free and independent Iran. Every year Iranian supports their leader by attending in demonstrations.
Norooz is biggest Iranian ceremony, Norooz, the Iranian/Persian New Year starts on the exact moment of the Vernal Equinox. As it is marked by the beginning of spring (1st Farvardin(Iranian month)), Norooz is the universal celebration of renewal and rebirth. Just when the flowers blossom and the trees come to life, the Norooz Festival takes over the city bringing joy and celebration to all. Iranian has some nice traditions for example: wear new clothes to be beautiful and clean, they meet older, create a Haft seen (seven s), visiting relatives, go on trip and give gift to younger.
Haft seen: To celebrate the New Year, families gather around a specially prepared holiday table to make wishes for the coming months. Items on the table refer to new life and renewal, and they are based around the number seven. Although the custom has evolved over the centuries and may have regional variations, at least seven basic items, each beginning with the letter s (sin in Persian), are traditionally placed on the haft sin table. Many of them also refer to the seven Zoroastrian immortals that guarded the sky, waters, earth, fire, plants, animals, and humans in ancient Iran.
7 sin (s):
Sib (apples) fertility and beauty (usually use red apple)
Sonbol (hyacinth) fragrance
Serkeh (wine vinegar) immortality and eternity
Senjed (wild olives) fertility and love
Sabzeh (wheat, barley, or lentil sprouts growing in a dish) rebirth
Samanu (wheat sprout pudding) sweetness
Sekkeh (coins) wealth
(You can use garlic (sir), Sumac (somaq)instead)
Other symbols of good luck can also be placed on the table, such as:
Sumac (somaq) , to show Patience
Garlic (seer), to bring good health
A gold fish, to show live and life
A mirror, to reflect the light of wisdom and creation
A book of poetry by the fourteenth-century writer Hafiz, whose poems are believed to predict the future
Rose water, to purify and sweeten
Candles, to remove uncleanness
Decorated eggs, to represent fertility
A copy of the Koran, to signify prayers
Iran contains lots of nations like Turkish, Did, Lor, Baloch and …., with different religions. These nations live together so friendly and government treat them similarly.
Every nation has in government.
Iranian government basis on fair and law is the same for all people.
There is no difference between different nations or men and women.
Iranian are really against of unfair and racism.
There are different religions in Iran but the official religion is Islam.
Iran is an only country that doesn’t start any fighting for more than 300 years.
Unity and solidarity between Iranian are really unbelievable.
Iran is an independent country and the government always defense of its rights like oil and nuclear energy, it cause non-human enmity and unfair sanctions against Iran.
Iran is beautiful and modern country by 4 seasons, it is rich in minerals, natural resources and countless touristic and historicalplaces.
Iran is a country by reach history.
Greatest king in the world was Iranian “Cyrus” or “Kourosh” who lived 2500 year before.
You can see pics of “Takhte Jamshid” below.
“Takhte Jamshid” is very important historical place in Iran- Shiraz that Cyrus was lived there.
I wish you
visit takhte jamshid that is
really interesting.
These days you can see waves of fear about Iran and you can hear lots of lies about it.
But reality is not what you heard in Medias.
Reality is in Iran, between kind and hospitable people and between modern streets.
Reality is the fact, not fake faces that American and western government wants to show you.
Medias shows Iranian as lagged society and wild people, it shows Iranian government and people as terrorism but reality is much farther from that.
You can see anti Iran films and news which is wrong basically.
Reality is between people who hate terrorism and a government who try to remove terrorism from the world.
Expect polices Iranian people may not even see and touch gun in their whole life.
A great Roman historian “Procopius” writes about Iran:
“Today I give original version of the history I was written to emperor “Justinian” for studying.
After short browsing He said: although it’s not good for us Romans and it cause mood swings for us but
You should wrote Justinian believes that there is a special material in Persian (Iranian) blood that cause Iranian don’t afraid, be brave, fearless , proud and never give up. We can’t break their pride and personality by force. I don’t know what id Iranian water which plants these kinds of seeds in their bodies.”
